Environment and Biodiversity:

Ongoing work in the Environmental and biodiversity space includes baseline and integrated impact assessments, social and environmental management plans and monitoring of noise, dust and water pollution. The team have comprehensive land access and resettlement plans that are followed as required and biodiversity management and action plans are also in place and will develop over time as the project moves forward. Nurseries have been set up to look to revegetate the mining areas as soon as possible, surface mining facilitates this rehabilitation process, and replanting has already begun around the mine camp, along the haul road and at Pit 2.
