Adonis Pouroulis
Mr Pouroulis is a mining engineer by background and is an entrepreneur whose expertise lies in the discovery, exploration and development of natural resources. As well as founding Alufer, he is also founder and Chairman of Petra Diamonds, Chariot Oil & Gas and the Pella Resources Group which is the holding company for a number of mining and oil and gas companies primarily based in Africa. Pella is also engaged in a number of charitable initiatives which aims to help empower the communities in which it operates.


Bernard Pryor
Mr Pryor is a Metallurgical Engineer by background with over 35 years’ experience in the international mining industry. He has held senior executive positions across a range of disciplines including project acquisition, evaluation, development and construction and has run large scale fully operational mining assets. His experience also includes international commercial and general management, most notably in Australia, Brazil, West and Southern Africa, the Middle East and Russia. Prior to becoming CEO of Alufer, he was CEO of African Minerals Limited and Q Resources plc. Between 2006 and 2010 he held senior positions within Anglo American Plc as Head of Business Development and was CEO of Anglo Ferrous Brazil Inc.

Michael Barton
Mr. Barton is a Portfolio Manager at Orion, a mining-focused investment business with approximately US$4.7 billion under management (as at June 30, 2018), which provides flexible capital investment solutions to mining companies in the base and precious metals sector. Orion has demonstrated capability in debt, equity, and production-linked investments, such as streams, offtakes and royalties and is recognised as one of the leaders in mining finance. Prior to Orion, Mr. Barton was Chief Executive Officer of Pala Investments, a mining‐focused investment company based in Zug, Switzerland, and prior to that, was Vice President at Hatch Corporate Finance (now HCF International Advisers), a mining and metals‐focused corporate finance boutique. Mr. Barton holds a First Class Honours degree in Geography from the University of Leicester and is a qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW).

Justin Anderson
Mr. Anderson is a Senior Associate with Resource Capital Funds, having joined the firm in 2010. He works on one of the deal teams overseeing several of RCF’s investments. Prior to joining RCF, he work as a Mining Engineer for URS Corp. (nka AECOM) and Marston and Marston Inc. (nka Golder Associates). Mr. Anderson has a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering and a M.S in Mineral Economics, both from the Colorado School Mines. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado.

Dorian Barak
Mr Barak is a private equity investor and asset manager focused on Africa, the Middle East and Europe. He is Managing Director of Indigo Global, which advises private clients, companies and investment funds on acquisitions, strategy and capital management, and serves on the boards of directors of companies active in the natural resources, aviation and technology sectors. He holds a BA from UCLA, a Master’s Degree from Oxford University and a Juris Doctor Degree from Yale Law School.

Mr Beams is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in the mining industry for over 25 years across a range of commodities and geographies. Previously with Anglo American and other smaller cap mining companies he has both executive and non-executive experience in financing, business development, government and investor relations, project evaluation and development.

Jason Peirce
Mr Peirce has over 17 years’ experience working in sustainability within the mining and development sectors in West, Central and North Africa. He has a wide range of expertise in social and environmental risk and impact assessment, community relations, stakeholder engagement, resettlement, local development and community investment strategies. Previously he worked with INSUCO, Anglo Gold Ashanti and the Belgian Development Agency. He holds a PhD in Anthropology and Sociology from SOAS.

Mr Toure has broad experience in government liaison and representation for a number of companies in Guinea. He has worked across a variety of sectors – mining, textiles and urban project development and previously worked with companies including Mobil, Global Alumina, Koumba Iron Ore.

Jean Sebastien Boutet
Mr Boutet has over 23 years’ experience across mining, aluminium, paint and coating industries and previously worked with Alcoa for 15 years, 4 years of which focused on the Ma’aden Aluminium project. At Alcoa he was responsible for developing commercial bauxite strategies for the Pacific region as well as developing key customer relationships in Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australia. He was previously a director on the board of CBG in Guinea and brings a deep knowledge of bauxite sales and marketing in China. Jean-Sebastien holds a degree in Business Administration from UQTR University and an MBA from McGill and HEC in Montreal.
