Alufer is an independent mining company with significant bauxite assets in the Republic of Guinea. The Company’s flagship project is the Bel Air mine which commenced production in August 2018.

Alufer’s target is to become a globally significant bauxite producer, creating wealth for its stakeholders by building a sustainable mining business that acts in a disciplined, safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Bauxite is the main commercial mineral from which aluminium oxide is extracted, which in turn is smelted to form aluminium metal. Medium and long term bauxite demand is still strong, driven by growth in key sectors including transportation, construction and consumer products.
