Alufer Mining Limited (“Alufer” or the “Company”) is an independent mineral exploration and development company with significant interests in the Republic of Guinea.
The Company is currently focussed on the development of its bauxite project at Bel Air, with the project expected to commence maiden production in 2016.
Alufer also has significant upside potential with highly prospective exploration offered by the Labé bauxite project in central Guinea and the Kindia bauxite project in south-west Guinea.
Significant capital has been invested in exploration since January 2011 and substantial work programmes have identified a JORC compliant resource in excess of 3 billion tonnes of high quality bauxite at Bel Air and Labé.
The Company believe that there is a positive outlook for bauxite and aluminium with strong, long-term market fundamentals and that it is in a strong position from which to capitalise on a growing supply demand gap.
Alufer places a great deal of importance on social responsibility and are in the process of implementing programmes aimed at improving education and basic infrastructure to help development within the communities in which the Company operates.
The Company’s Board and management team have an in-depth knowledge of Guinea and the bauxite markets and are well equipped to take the Company forward having managed and operated exploration, development and production stage mining assets.
